The Role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced, highly flexible entrepreneurial environment. You will interact with our teams based in Dublin, London, and Vancouver as well as mobile operators, infrastructure providers and device manufacturers around the world. Job Description

We are expanding our Engineering team and are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer who is excited to work at the intersection of distributed systems and telecom. You will play a key part in the research, design and development of our products. We are looking for someone who has a passion for high quality software development and a proven track record of working in mixed skill teams across different time zones. 

Job Requirements

Soft Skills – MUST

  • Very strong communication skills: able to demonstrate you can work via effective and regular communication with remote colleagues in different time zones.

  • Very strong work management: understanding how important it is to keep shipping, and having enough work around you so that if you are blocked in one area you can switch to something else while waiting.


Tech Skills - MUST

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development, ideally several years of which were working with a dynamic programming language, ideally Python

  • Experience working with high volume event processing using Kafka is desired

  • Experience working for a developer audience is desired

  • Flexible and eager to learn new technologies, frameworks and techniques; able to grasp new technologies and tooling quickly and with minimal guidance

  • Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once with multiple deadlines 

  • Disciplined with a focused, result oriented approach and strong work ethic

  • Attention to detail & high level of accuracy

  • Experience of working with large scale business critical systems

  • Proactive in identifying bottlenecks, cost and performance savings

  • Our Technology Team is managed across 2 locations, our HQ Office at Beacon Court, Sandyford, Co Dublin, Ireland, and our HQ Office Vancouver Canada.

  • We are a 100% remote team
