Android Satellite Now Available via NetLync’s Entitlements-as-a-Service® Platform

Android Satellite enables satellite messaging on Android smartphones when traditional mobile or Wi-Fi networks are unavailable. With entitlement, carriers can securely provision and manage access to satellite messaging services directly on the device.

[24 June 2025, Dublin, Ireland] – NetLync is proud to announce the launch of Android Satellite support through its Entitlements-as-a-Service® (EaaS®) platform, enabling mobile carriers to efficiently deploy satellite messaging capabilities for their Android subscribers. This new feature allows Android users to stay connected even in areas without cellular coverage or Wi-Fi—crucial for communication during emergencies or in remote environments.

Through EaaS®, carriers can provision and manage access to satellite messaging services directly on supported Android devices. By leveraging device entitlements to verify eligibility, the service delivers a secure, seamless, and native experience with no need for third-party apps or external hardware. It’s a practical blend of coverage, safety, and simplicity, ensuring users stay connected when it matters most.

Service capabilities include:

  • eSOS / T911: Emergency messaging with PSAP integration and real-time location sharing
  • P2P Messaging: Support for RCS, MMS, SMS, and media attachments (currently in open beta)

Satellite is the latest use case enabling global and secure connectivity for carriers and their subscribers—no matter where they are or what situation they face,

said Emir Aboulhosn, CEO, and Co-Founder.

And with EaaS®, carriers can deploy this capability within days—just like many of the other services available on our platform.

With Android Satellite now part of NetLync’s baseline EaaS® offering, carriers can deliver reliable off-grid messaging as a native part of their service—without added costs. This enhancement adds even greater value to NetLync’s global carrier ecosystem.
